Contained
herein are the experiences of a young lad growing up in a small-town atmosphere
and dealing with the problems of post depression and wartime years. A lad shaped and honed by both siblings and
parents within a large family. A lad
with unexploited but exceptional talents left to be uncovered by him. A lad destined to become successful spurred
by encouragement from his father with an instilled work ethnic: plus, the
desire to circumvent being trapped in a family business that was laborious,
both physically and mentally: and to avoid a clash among the four brothers for
control within the business.
A less
frustrated teenager gaining confidence from an accidental unveiling of a talent
whizzes through high school and begins to realize the tremendous benefits of
attaining knowledge. Acquiring a
high-school sweetheart, whom he later marries, fulfills the feminine need in
his life and serves to enhance his maturity.
As time goes by, his life becomes more exciting, adventurous and
fulfilling.
Entering
college and experiencing deeper attainment of knowledge establishes a new niche
and a change in his concept of his life's direction. He puts aside plans of success and dedicates
his quest to be acquiring as much knowledge as possible. The Korean War altered his direction. Four years in the Air Force slowed down his
quest but was deemed an enjoyable experience; particularly after marrying his
high school sweetheart. After
honeymooning for three years, he re-entered college where his first child was
born.
Even
after graduating with a BSEE, he continued his education, just missing his
doctor’s degree. Twenty years of
marriage and child rearing ensue with a successful work career. He and his wife enjoyed their rainbow years
whereby their pot of gold narrowly eluded their grasps.
After
a successful ten-year second marriage, comes a succession of wives. These marriages are explained in detail with
one being catastrophic while the others were more positive. He describes these experiences as
six-times-over, one of life*s utmost enjoyments; falling in love!
Enthralled with his hobby of duplicate bridge, he managed to schedule his consulting work so as to minimally interfere with his bridge exploits. He presents a philosophy of life that he has lived that is unique in our today’s society: one in which any productive individual can prosper and retire wealthy.
